How Does the xCap Mechanics Work?

As introduced, the xCap mechanics was debuted by NoLimit City not so long ago, in late 2022, with the release of its action-packed slot Rock Bottom. The slot itself comes with a 5-reel grid in a formation of 3-4-4-4-3 and comes loaded with features and modifiers. Now, there aren’t any paylines, but there are 576 ways to win, with matching symbols landing from the left on adjacent reels to create a winning combo.

So, your goal in the game is to create as many winning combos as you could possibly, to get to the needed base bet win of at least 1,969x the stake. When that happens, the xCap triggers. You are then given 5 entities to pick up from which will reveal a Win Multiplier.

You’d need to pick one of the five options, revealing a Multiplier of 2x, 3x, 5x, 7x or 10x! This means that the Win Multiplier will be applied to your already collected 1,969x the stake win. Eventually, you’ll get to receive a max prize of 3,938x, 5,907x, 9,845x, 13,783x or 19,690x the stake prize, respective to the Win Multiplier you unveiled! This is not a joke, people, these payouts are real!

Considering the betting range in Rock Bottom is from €0.20 to €150, this means that by triggering the xCap feature, you could eventually scoop a prize of nearly €3 million! Talk about a game that can make you a multimillionaire!

Special Features in xCap Mechanic Slots

Since we only have one game to elaborate on which features the xCap mechanics, we should cover the features offered here. Other slots are expected to feature this amazing booster, so stay tuned for added features in upcoming releases. For now, we can mention the following.

1. xSplit

This is a feature offered across many NoLimit City slots. These are symbols that only land on the middle reels and have the ability to split themselves and other symbols on the same row or adjacent to them, and become Wild when they split, helping you form excellent wins.

The xSplits do not work on Scatters or low pays, but only high-paying symbols, which, in return, can split up to three times, forming more wins than you can count.

2. Scatters

Scatters are featured in most slots, and they contribute to the Free Spins bonus trigger. In Rock Bottom, they do that, but they contribute to the activation of two separate bonus rounds, the Headshrinker Spins and the Insanity Spins.

3. Free Spins

Two types of Free Spins are offered in Rock Bottom, both triggered with a respective number of Scatters, and both arriving with their own modifiers. Headshrinker Spins allow for fully Stacked Symbols and Win Multipliers, while Insanity Free Spins with Expanding Wilds.

4. NoLimit Bonus

In case you’ve reached the 1,969x the stake payout potential while you had a Bonus Buy bet active, the xCap won’t be activated. It only works for wins made with base bets.

How Is the Math Model in xCap Slots?

Since we have only one slot to provide you with this overview, we can say that so far, the xCap comes with a highly volatile math model and a varying RTP, which depends on whether you’re playing the slot with regular bets or you’ve used one of the NoLimit Bonus Buy options.

The slot is 8 out of 10 volatile, therefore, highly volatile, offering a hit frequency of 31.30%. When it comes to the RTP, the regular RTP is 96.04%, so pretty much average.

With the 75x the stake Bonus Buy bet, it increases to 96.10%, with 500x the stake Bonus Buy bet it goes up to 96.18%. The RTP is the best when you place the 183x the stake Bonus Buy bet, of 96.36%.

Strangely, although NoLimit City launched four new games after Rock Bottom, the slot where the mechanics debuted, none of these new releases features the xCap.
