San Quentin xWays Slot Review – Demo, RTP & Features

When it comes to pushing boundaries, Nolimit City has a reputation for delivering out-of-the-box, controversial slots—and San Quentin xWays is no exception.

That may sound intimidating—and for many players it will be—but you’ll be happy to learn that in return, there’s a staggering 150,000x maximum win potential up for grabs!

There are bet sizes for players on all budgets, San Quentin xWays is fully mobile optimized—and if you want to learn more about the game, you’ll want to check out this slot review in full!

Game Features

At the heart of San Quentin xWays lies its innovative features, each of which is designed to maximize the chaos and frenzy of being stuck in one of the world’s scariest jails!

Enhancer Cells line the top and bottom of the reels, unlocking randomly to reveal premium symbols, Razor Splits, or xWays symbols that multiply ways to win. Razor Splits double symbols on their respective reels, while xWays symbols reveal stacked symbols.

Now, if you manage to land three or more guard tower scatters anywhere in view, you’ll trigger the Lockdown Free Spins feature. Depending on how many scatters triggered the feature, you begin with one to three Jumping Wilds. These wild symbols move to random positions on the reels after each spin. These  wild symbols can also carry multipliers – which, individually, can reach as high as 512x!

Now, before the free spins bonus round begins, one of the high-value inmates symbols is chosen to become a multiplier symbol. What’s more, the Enhancer Cells on the triggering reels also remain unlocked for the duration of the feature – and this has a massive impact on your ability to win big!

Now, there’s also a pretty unique twist that allows extra Jumping Wilds to be added during the feature. It’s possible for up to five to land—although even three qualifies as the game’s Super Bonus.

For players outside the UK, San Quentin xWays also offers a bonus buy feature. You’ll find three options to choose from, costing 100x, 400x, and 2,000x your stake respectively.

If you decide to pay the hefty 2,000x, you’ll be guaranteed to land five scatter symbols, which guarantees that you begin the bonus round with a whopping three Jumping Wilds!
