Soar Through an Unknown Sky Once Again in Pirots 2

ELK Studios’ Pirots was one of the underrated hits this summer. Players loved the pirate parrots and the features which included an expanding grid paired with several feature meters that unleash specials when fully filled out.

A sequel was sure to come, but the studio pushed it just months after the first release to everyone’s surprise.

It seems that ELK Studios already had the winning formula on hand. Pirots 2 video slot retains the base features, while adding action-packed content in multipliers and the CollectR mechanic.

This time, the pirate crew is stuck on an unknown island. It seems that all that rum has opened a kind of wormhole that took them to an exciting new location on the other side of the world.

Exciting Pirate Adventure on a Prehistoric Island

While those two themes seem a bit too crazy to mash up, ELK Studios has done a great job in marrying them. This pirots adventure takes place in an ancient jungle, with dinosaur skulls and ponds all over. The parrot crew makes a welcome return, with the slot having a larger 6×6 cluster pays format.

That’s one of the few things that the slot game has retained. The RTP has been dropped and so has the winning potential. But, to make up for it, ELK Studios introduces the CollectR mechanic and tons of other entertaining and rewarding features.

The grid can be expanded to 8×8 once the CollectR mechanic kicks in. That’s tied to the colorful birds. When they land adjacent to a pay symbol of the same color, they will move to eat it. They’ll continue collecting amber symbols orthogonally until they eat them all. The birds move in descending order and are dependent on the amber symbols.

Each bird can move more than one time per spin. After they collect all the symbols they can, an avalanche follows. Just like in any cluster pays slots, the avalanches will continue as long as there are winning symbols on the screen.

The birds can also switch places with the Switcheroo feature which kicks in when one ends its collecting. They can even fight on the reels and move in every direction, continuing to collect amber symbols from all corners of the screen. There are 9 different features that the CollectR meters can unleash, including upgrades, wilds, bonus symbols, cash prizes, and more.
