Get ready to show off your dance moves, follow the laser lights, or just relax and look cool with Push Gaming’s online slot, DJ Cat. This isn’t their first DJ-themed game; DJ Fox came out a few months earlier.

Both games share a love for spinning records and entertaining partygoers. Like DJ Fox, DJ Cat is one of Push Gaming’s Push-Up slots, using the “Win What You See” method to award prizes, but with bigger multipliers this time around.

Just like in DJ Fox, DJ Cat is set in a venue with an impressive light show to go along with the booming tunes. Depending on your mood, the lights might feel a bit much, but the music is great, with DJ Cat mixing beats on the right side of the screen.

This time, the DJ is a person with cat ears on her hat, instead of an actual fox, but it doesn’t change the gameplay. A key difference is that Push Gaming replaced the single multiplier meter from DJ Fox with five separate meters, each connected to one of the five rows on the game grid.

Each row on the grid has four spots where symbols or blanks can land. In the default mode, only the bottom row is active at the start of each spin, with a bet range of 10 cents to $/€100 per spin.

The Push-Up feature allows players to activate additional rows from the start, which is explained further below. The game has a highly volatile math model, and at the default betting level, the RTP is 96.32%.

DJ Cat Game Details

DJ Cat doesn’t stray far from DJ Fox in terms of features, mainly tweaking the multipliers while keeping the same “Win What You See” pay mechanics, Arrow symbols, and Push-Ups.

Arrow Symbol

When an Arrow symbol lands on an active reel, it activates the next row and then disappears. If there are Arrow symbols on the newly activated row, they continue to activate the next row.
Each activation also gives a respin. Arrows do not appear on the top row or already active rows.

Win What You See

Regular symbols show numerical values and are evaluated from left to right on their active row. The dud symbol is a blocker with no value. For example:

• If a 2, dud, dud, 0 lands on an active row, you win 0.2x your bet.
• If a 2, 0, dud, dud hits, you win 2x your bet.
• If a 2, dud, 5, dud lands, you win 0.2x + 0.5x for a total of 0.7x your bet.

Multiplier Meter

When a VIP or Double VIP symbol lands on an active reel, it is collected by the row’s multiplier meter and then removed. Collecting a VIP or Double VIP symbol also awards a respin.

During respins, all dud positions respin while number symbols stay in place. After respins, all active rows are evaluated for wins. Each line win is multiplied by the value on the corresponding multiplier meter:

• Row 1: x2, x3, x10
• Row 2: x3, x5, x10
• Row 3: x5, x10, x15
• Row 4: x10, x15, x20
• Row 5: x20, x50, x100

To get a win multiplier, a VIP symbol must be collected on the associated row. A VIP symbol increases the Multiplier by +1 segment, and a Double VIP symbol increases it by +2 segments. At the start of a new spin, Multiplier meters reset.

Push-Up

Players can use the Push-Up feature to start each spin with more rows active. Starting with 2, 3, 4, or 5 rows active increases the stake by 2.5x (RTP 96.39%), 5x (RTP 96.27%), 7.5x (RTP 96.25%), or 10x (RTP 96.37%) the base bet, respectively.

When using the Push-Up, wins are calculated based on the base bet amount.
