RagingPop is, believe it or not, the eleventh instalment of AvatarUX’s PopWins collection. It comes immediately after MonkeyPop, a game that takes players to the ‘land of the rising sun’ and sees the developers take players on another adventure, this time into the grasslands of Africa, a place that is packed full of yet more surprises.

AvatarUX has always been keen to create immersive content, and they make this happen via visuals and theming. As a studio, they want players to really invest in the idea they’re pushing, so it’s no surprise to see a stunning backdrop of an African plain that features a running stream, trees and a mountain range.

You could argue that animals are missing from the background of the African plain, but AvatarUX wants to save them for the reels, which makes sense. Across the six reels, animals such as leopards, crocodiles, buffalo and more make an appearance, so it’s a game that’s well stocked on the animal front.

All the above is great, but, as you will expect if you’ve experienced the PopWins mechanic before, the game is elevated because of this system. Players naturally want to have as many ways to win in play as possible, and with 235,298 up for grabs, RagingPop is a slot that should leave players raging in a good way.

Game Features

The PopWins mechanic, where winning icons are replaced by two new ones, is active in RagingPop, which is great news. However, it’s only active during the free spins round. So, when players are working their way through some free spins, a winning combination will see the icons replaced by two more, leading to the reels expanding and it being possible to get each reel seven icons high.

It makes the free spins bonus round a significant draw, but players will need three or more scatters to trigger it. And, the more scatters in view on triggering, the more free games will be handed over, with up to thirty up for grabs from the outset. And, in typical AvatarUX fashion, when the free spins bonus round triggers, a gamble wheel will appear, offering players the chance to gamble what they have for more in terms of the free spins.

To keep punters on their toes, this isn’t the only feature in RagingPop. There’s a random feature called Raging Rhino, which is kind of fitting as the rhino is arguably the star of the show on the African plain.

When Raging Rhino randomly springs into life, players will see the reels expand, up to seven icons high, and there will be a multiplier that attaches itself to wins too. The multiplier value can top out at a stunning 500x, so the winning potential, especially when the reels are maxed out, is off the scale potentially. It’s an excellent little addition to keep things fresh by AvatarUX.
