Jackpot Jam is one of the only basketball-themed video slots out there today – and it’s made by a software provider called Arrow’s Edge – an old, but up-and-coming software provider who’s slowly making their mark in the online gambling industry.

Jackpot Jam is built around quite a unique layout; there are just three rows and three reels – and to make things even stranger, there’s only four paylines! Unfortunately, the RTP of Jackpot Jam is pretty disappointing, coming in at 94.07%. However, when you take the progressive jackpots into account, the total RTP does increase to 96.70%.

When you load up Jackpot Jam, you’ll notice that you’re transported directly onto a basketball court. To be fair to the software provider, it’s not their best effort in terms of graphical design – but it does the job, and on the whole, it looks pretty decent. Symbol wins pay from left-to-right, although remember, there are only four paylines – so don’t expect to see the kind of special mechanic you might see in other games.

Jackpot Jam also has a really funky soundtrack – and while the graphics let the game down a bit, we really can’t fault Arrow’s Edge for their musical capabilities. The game sounds great, and you really feel as though you’re playing basketball for yourself!

Game Features

Despite its relatively basic look and feel, Jackpot Jam actually packs in quite a few bonuses and features. Firstly, you have the Wild MVP feature. This is a standard wild symbol, and when it lands in view, it will substitute for all other symbols on the screen. It tends to land quite frequently during the base game, which is a nice touch.

The main bonus round is a free spins feature, and this is triggered by landing two basketball scatter symbols on reels one and three. You will then hear an announcer – and he will shout out the number of free spins that you’ve been awarded, up to a total of 15. Nothing special happens during the free spins, but you can re-trigger the feature – and there’s no limit on the number of free spins that you can re-trigger.

The final feature is the progressive jackpots. These are awarded randomly on any spin – and if you’re a lucky winner, you will see a banner pop-up on screen during the base game, telling you which of the three progressive jackpots you’ve won.
