Fire Joker Freeze is a classic-style online slot from Play’n GO and another instalment in the developer’s long-running Joker series.

The game builds on the original Fire Joker, first released in 2016, retaining its straightforward 3-reel gameplay while introducing an Ice Joker, additional respins and an upgraded Wheel of Fire and Ice feature.

Game Features

Fire Joker Freeze keeps its mechanics relatively simple, with the gameplay built around stacked symbols, two Joker Wilds, Respins of Ice, Respins of Fire and the Wheel of Fire and Ice.

Fire Joker and Ice Joker Wilds

There are two Wild symbols in Fire Joker Freeze: the Fire Joker and the Ice Joker. Both substitute for regular paying symbols to help create winning combinations across the five paylines.

Landing three matching Fire Jokers or three Ice Jokers on a payline awards 100x the bet. The Ice Joker has an additional role because it can expand during the Respin of Ice feature and influence where the Wheel of Fire and Ice begins.

Stacked Symbols

Symbols can appear stacked across the reels, making it possible to cover an entire reel with the same symbol.

Landing matching stacks is important because these combinations can activate the game’s respin mechanics or lead to the Wheel of Fire and Ice feature.

Respin of Ice

The Respin of Ice can trigger when an Ice Joker appears during a non-winning spin.

The Ice Joker is locked in place before expanding to cover every position on its reel. The other reels are then respun, providing another opportunity to create a winning combination. The expanded Ice Joker can also help produce the combination required to trigger the Wheel of Fire and Ice.

Respins of Fire

The Respins of Fire feature is activated when two matching stacks land during a non-winning spin.

Both stacked reels remain locked in position while the third reel respins. This provides another opportunity to land the matching symbol on the remaining reel and complete a full-screen combination.

Wheel of Fire and Ice

The Wheel of Fire and Ice is the game’s main feature. It can trigger when the entire grid is filled with the same paying symbol or a combination involving Fire and Ice Jokers. The feature can also activate when two matching symbol stacks land alongside an Ice Joker. In this situation, the Ice Joker expands to fill its reel and completes the required combination.

The wheel contains four levels, each offering multipliers and snowflake symbols. Normally, the wheel begins on its innermost level. However, Joker stacks can allow the feature to begin at a higher level:

Landing on a snowflake moves the player to the next level of the wheel, where larger multipliers become available. The highest possible wheel multiplier is x20, which is applied to the win that triggered the feature.
