Money Train 3 is a high-volatility online slot from Relax Gaming and the third instalment in the popular Money Train series. The game pushes the concept further into a futuristic setting while expanding the Money Cart Bonus with new modifier symbols and increasing the maximum win to 100,000x the bet.

The game uses a 5×4 reel layout with 40 fixed pay-lines, keeping the same core structure as Money Train and Money Train 2. Visually, however, the series has moved well beyond its original Wild West theme. Money Train 3 takes place in a futuristic workshop or laboratory, with a heavily modified train, chrome machinery and science-fiction styling.

Game Features

Money Train 3 expands considerably on the mechanics introduced in the earlier games. The main features include random sticky Respins, multiplier symbols, the Money Cart Bonus, expanding reels and a large collection of special modifier symbols.

Wild Symbol

The gas-mask-style symbol acts as the Wild in Money Train 3. It can appear on all five reels and substitutes for regular paying symbols to help complete winning combinations. Pure Wild combinations pay the same value as the highest-paying Necromancer symbol.

Random Respin Feature

A Respin feature can trigger randomly following a non-winning base-game spin. When activated, one symbol type currently visible on the reels is randomly selected and becomes sticky.

A respin is then awarded. If additional copies of the chosen symbol land during the respin, they also become sticky and another respin is awarded.

Multiplier symbols worth x1, x2 or x3 can also appear. These multipliers do not become sticky but instead increase the total multiplier applied to the eventual win. The feature continues until no additional selected symbols land.

Money Cart Bonus

Landing 3 or more Bonus symbols triggers the Money Cart Bonus.

Persistent gold symbols can also substitute for Bonus symbols when activating the feature. The triggering symbols become sticky and reveal multiplier values, while the player begins with 3 respins.

Whenever a new qualifying symbol lands, it sticks in position and the respin counter resets to three. If a Persistent symbol helped trigger the bonus, its special effect is activated before the first respin begins.

The feature continues until the player runs out of respins or reaches the game’s maximum win.

Expanding Reels

The Money Cart Bonus can increase in size during play. Whenever an entire column becomes filled with symbols, an additional column is unlocked.

This can happen twice, allowing the bonus grid to expand by up to two extra columns. The additional space creates more opportunities to land multiplier and modifier symbols.

Regular Bonus Symbols

Standard bonus symbols reveal values between 1x and 10x the bet. These values contribute directly towards the total payout accumulated during the Money Cart Bonus.

Collector

The Collector gathers the values of all other visible multiplier symbols and adds the total to its own value. Its effectiveness generally increases as more symbols fill the grid.

Sniper

The Sniper selects between 3 and 8 other bonus symbols and doubles their values. The same symbol can be selected more than once, meaning an already valuable multiplier may potentially be doubled repeatedly.

Collector-Payer

The Collector-Payer targets between 3 and 5 symbols. It first adds their combined values to its own multiplier and then adds its updated value back to the selected targets. This creates the potential for several multiplier values to increase at once.

Necromancer

The Necromancer reactivates between 2 and 7 previously used non-persistent special symbols. A single special symbol can potentially be revived more than once. This means Collectors, Snipers and other modifiers may perform their actions again.

Absorber

The Absorber removes regular bonus symbols from the grid. It absorbs the standard multiplier symbols but does not remove special modifier symbols.

Removing regular symbols can create additional room for more powerful symbols to land later in the feature.

Tommy Gun Sniper

The Tommy Gun Sniper targets one random symbol and doubles its value between 2 and 6 times. Repeated doubling can create a substantial increase when a high-value multiplier is selected.

Tommy Gun Payer

The Tommy Gun Payer reveals a value ranging from 5x to 100x. It then adds this value to a randomly selected symbol between 3 and 10 times.

Persistent Collector

The Persistent Collector collects all visible multiplier values and adds them to its own value at the end of the current spin. It repeats this action on every subsequent spin for the remainder of the bonus.

Persistent Sniper

The Persistent Sniper doubles the values of between 3 and 8 other bonus symbols at the end of the current spin and each spin that follows. The same symbol can be affected more than once.

Persistent Collector-Payer

The Persistent Collector-Payer selects between 3 and 5 symbols at the end of each spin. It collects their values, adds them to its own multiplier and then distributes its updated value back to those selected symbols. The process repeats on every following spin.

Persistent Necromancer
