License to Spin is a clear spin-off of James Bond – and while the game developer, Arrow’s Edge, have done enough to make the game significantly different from the James Bond franchise, it’s clear that there are quite a few similarities.
License to Spin is a video slot built around somewhat of a classic look and feel; there are just 3 rows, 3 reels and 3 fixed paylines. The game’s RTP is pretty healthy, at 96% – and unlike some game developers, Arrow’s Edge does not offer differing RTP settings, so wherever you play the game, you will always be getting the 96% RTP.
When you load up the game you’ll notice that there’s a James Bond-like character on the right-hand-side of the screen. During certain times in the game – when you form a win, for example – he will come alive, and animate the win!
Unfortunately, the minimum bet size is 0.30 credits – which may be a turn off for some of the low-rollers out there. The maximum bet is a whopping 240 credits – so high-rollers should have no problems playing at a stake size that they’re comfortable with. There’s a progressive jackpot built into the game, and we’ll talk more about this – and how it works – later on within this review.
In terms of the symbols in License to Spin, you’ll find playing card values, including 10, jack, queen, king, and an ace representing the low-value symbols. The higher-paying ones are all theme-specific, and include two villains. In the remainder of this review, we’re going to be looking at what you can expect from the slot – starting off with a look at the game’s main bonuses and features.

Game Features
Despite being quite a classic-looking game, License to Spin actually does a pretty good job when it comes to bonuses and features. Firstly, there’s the re-spin mechanic. Whenever a wild symbol appears on the third reel, a re-spin is triggered.
On the first re-spin, the wild will shift to the left, onto reel two. Another re-spin is awarded, and this time, the symbol shifts again, to the left-hand-side of the screen – onto reel one. A final re-spin is then awarded.
In addition to the re-spin mechanic, License to Spin also contains progressive jackpots. There are two progressive jackpots up for grabs – and like all of the game developer’s video slots, the progressive jackpots are awarded randomly during the base game. What this means, is that each time you spin the reels during the base game, there’s a chance that the progressive jackpot will be awarded. When it is, a simple banner will pop up, notifying you of this win.
Pros
- Interesting bonus round;
- Two progressive jackpots to win;
- Re-spins during the base game.
Cons
- There are only three paylines;
- Very volatile slot;
- Big wins appear hard to come by.
License to Spin FAQs
When you’re playing License to Spin, the minimum bet is 0.30 credits. In reality, this works out to €0.30 – or the currency equivalent.
The maximum win in License to Spin is 1,000X your stake. This may not sound like a lot, but for a classic game like this, it’s actually a pretty decent max win cap!
To trigger the re-spin feature, you simply need to land one of the wild symbols on the third reel. This will trigger the re-spin mechanic, awarding you up to three re-spins.
License to Spin has a default RTP of 96% – which is pretty good in today’s online gambling market.
