Gemhalla Slot Review – Demo, RTP & Features

If you’re a fan of Norse mythology, Scandinavian ancient culture and history, you’ll absolutely love the Gemhalla slot.

The Norse-themed slot from BGaming makes a playful turn on a classic theme and creates a really fun design. Gemhalla takes you on a wild adventure with the prospect of generous payouts.

Thor is the main character in this slot. While he’s usually designed in a hulking way, this time he’s made to look a bit cartoonish.

The first thing you’ll notice is the Norse God of Thunder standing next to the Yggdrasil tree in a mystical forest and right on the side of your playing reels. He’s here to help you win and collect your precious gems.

Gemhalla Slot Base Game

The slot has a 5×6 grid with square shaped symbols and a Pay Anywhere system. Symbols include ancient runes in different colours instead of card royals ones, and some classic Norse symbols such as axes, horns, helmets and beers as the premiums. To start playing it, you need to choose a bet (10c to $100 per spin) and click on the spin button.

As a Pay Anywhere slot, you form winning combinations by matching 8+ symbols anywhere on the grid. Once the matching symbols disappear, new ones fall in their place, possibly creating new winning combinations.

A lot of the action in the Gemhalla slot revolves around the multipliers. The shield is the multiplier and it can show up anytime. It can carry different values which are summed up at the end of each spin. The multiplier values can range from x2 to x500 and they can appear both in the base game and the bonus round.

Gemhalla Free Spins Round

The free spins round is triggered when you land four or more scatters. That’s the colorful Viking ship with the word Scatter across it.

All multipliers accumulate in the free spins round. What this means is that all multipliers are collected, then summed up and paid at the end of the bonus round. Moreover, the free spins can be retriggered if you land three or more scatters during the round.

There’s also a buy bonus and chance x2 option which are fairly standard for BGaming slots. Both are available at a different price and are mutually exclusive, which means you can’t activate them both at the same time.
