Folsom Prison Slot Review – Demo, RTP & Features

Step inside the ominous walls of Folsom State Prison with Nolimit City’s latest slot creation, Folsom Prison.

A sequel to San Quentin, this hugely volatile slot takes you inside one of California’s most notorious correctional facilities – but if you can brave the infamous inmates, you could find yourself walking away with wins worth up to 75,000x!

Unusually, for a five-reel slot, the game begins with just 16 ways-to-win. However, each win unlocks new reel positions which, in turn, increases the number of ways-to-win. The grid can expand up to a massive 46,664 ways, and during the bonus round this is where the ultra-big wins can happen.

In terms of volatility, Folsom Prison is insanely volatile – so be prepared for this. The RTP comes in at 96.07% RTP, making it pretty much average in today’s online gambling world. To kick off this slot review, we’ll begin by taking a look at the game’s bonuses and features.

Game Features

Folsom Prison slot machine is packed with bonus features that are all designed to keep you coming back for more.

The first one is the Toast Bet, which allows you to pay 20% extra per spin in order to guarantee a scatter symbol on the second reel. This significantly improves your chances of landing the free spins bonus round naturally.

Now, to trigger the free spins round, you’ll need to land three scatter symbols. Doing so triggers the Walk the Line feature, where you’ll receive 8 free spins with at least 1 wild Cockroach symbol on each spin.

If you’re lucky enough to hit 4 scatters, you’ll be sent straight to The Chair, an enhanced version of the bonus round with 8 free spins, a fully unlocked grid, and a minimum of 3 Cockroaches per spin.

These creepy-crawly Cockroaches are your key to big wins, as they scurry across the reels leaving wild multipliers in their wake. Watch them unlock positions, upgrade multipliers, and even clone themselves, leading to mind-blowing payouts.

The xWays and xSplit symbols add even more excitement, revealing matching symbols and doubling the ways to win, respectively.

Like most Nolimit City Slots, Folsom Prison also contains a bonus buy feature. This allows you to buy direct entry into any of the game’s bonuses and features for a fixed cost.

Please note, however, that the bonus buy is not available to players in the UK due to regulatory changes.
