Barbarian Fury Slot Review – Demo, RTP & Features

If you’re familiar with Nolimit City’s Slots, you’ll know that the software provider transitioned from a creator of low variance, bland games, to the industry’s highest variance monsters in a matter of years.

What you may not know is that in the middle, they released a few, let’s say, mid variance slots – and Barbarian Fury is one such game.

The video slot is designed around a five-reel, four-row format, and, in keeping with many of their slots, there’s no pay-lines; wins are formed by matching three or more adjacent symbols from left to right.

Now, we’re always fans of Nolimit City’s slot designs – and Barbarian Fury slot game is no exception. The reels are set in what looks like an apocalyptic world – and you’ll see a drawbridge behind the reels, with the world on fire in the background.

The game’s playable from as little as 25p per spin, and high rollers can enjoy playing as high as £100 per spin!

Symbol-wise, the low pays are represented by playing card values, including 9, 10, jack, queen, king, and ace, and the high pays include a blue barbarian, a green female warrior, and a red warrior. The highest paying symbol is the chief, awarding 10x your bet for a five-of-a-kind combo.

Barbarian Fury slot machine also does a pretty good job in the RTP department: the default RTP is 96.06%, but this can actually increase to 96.32% if you play using the Feature Buy mechanic – details of which we’ll cover shortly.

Game Features

Like most Nolimit City Games, the majority of the win potential lies in the game’s bonuses and features. Barbarian Fury slot game is no exception, and there’s a lot going on. Firstly, there’s the Barbarian Respin mechanic.

Any time three or more of the same barbarian symbols land, this feature triggers – and you’ll then see the barbarian symbols nudge up (or down) to fill their respective reels. These barbarians then lock in place while a re-spin occurs – giving you a chance to land additional barbarians for extra wins!

Like many Nolimit City slots, there’s also the xNudge Roaring Wild mechanic – and this wild can land on reels two, three, and four. When it lands, it always expands – and it also contains a multiplier which increases by +1 for each nudge it takes.

Now, the main bonus round in the game is the free spins, triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view.

You’ll then receive a minimum of three free spins, and during the bonus, there’s an increased chance of the Barbarian Respin mechanic triggering. However, what really makes this a lucrative bonus round is the fact that there’s a global multiplier – and this does not reset between spins.

Finally, there’s a Feature Buy mechanic – although this is no longer available to players in the UK. For a cost of 70x your bet, you can buy instant entry into the free spins, skipping the base game entirely! Using the bonus buy mechanic also increases the RTP slightly, as we discussed earlier.
