Bollywood - India’s answer to Hollywood - is one of the most well-known film areas in the world, and it’s produced some of the Eastern world’s most famous, and popular films in history.

And Bollywood Bonanza - a video slot from Section 8 Studios - aims to recreate the popularity, and in this review, we’re going to take a look at what makes the slot so popular!

Now, the first thing you’ll notice upon loading up the slot, is that there really has been no expense spared, when it comes to the look, feel, and design of the slot.

For example, the backdrop of the game features rich greens - film reels in fact - and you’ll see lit-up spotlights spreading the screen.

Symbols on the reels include both low-value symbols - playing cards, 10 through Ace - and game specific symbols, and you’ll see dancing Indian girls, a full moon, a leading couple, a single dancing girl, and - strangely - two Indian men having a fight.

The “House Full” symbol is the game’s scatter symbol, and landing 3, 4, or 5 of these scatter symbols anywhere in view will award the free-spins bonus round.

During the free-spins bonus, there aren’t unfortunately any multipliers or sticky wilds available, but you will find that the game’s three highest-paying symbols are all transformed into wild symbols, and this - of course - gives you a MUCH greater chance of winning big!

You can re-trigger the free-spins by landing yet another 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view and if you manage to do so, you’ll be awarded an additional 12, 14, or 20 free-spins.

Pros: Bollywood Bonanza is incredibly rich in design - and this is NOT a bad thing, as the slot’s set out in a way that makes gameplay incredibly exciting.

Cons: Some players have a fundamental issue with themes like Bollywood - they feel it’s cultural, and shouldn’t be exploited. If this is you, you may want to consider giving Bollywood Bonanza a pass.
