Steam Tower Slot Review – Demo, RTP & Features

Steam Tower is one of the most popular and most commonly played video slots to come from Netent’s development labs, and it’s not hard to see why, in all honesty.

This well-designed, high-definition game offers an exciting playing experience on every spin – furthered by the fact that the bonus round is incredibly exciting – to the point that you’re often biting your nails, shouting for the right combination to come in.

First, let’s look at how the game is built; Steam Tower uses a 5-reel, 20-fixed-pay-line, 3-row format, making it quite similar to most of the other games we’ve seen from Netent. But what makes the title stand out is the graphics and audio sound effects you’ll experience throughout the gameplay experience.

Game Symbols

Symbol-wise, Netent have opted somewhat disappointingly to go for a combination of traditional playing card symbols, including Ten, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace (which, of course, are the lower-paying symbols in the game), along with game-specific symbols, which include a hat-wearing man, a blonde woman, a red dragon, and a Steam Tower.

The Red Dragon is the game’s higher-paying symbol, and it’s him you’ll want to keep an eye out for if you’re hunting the big wins! There are also a couple of wild symbols; the first is the small green symbol, which substitutes for all other symbols – and then there’s also a stacked green symbol, with the hat-wearing man on top of it.

This latter symbol is the key to triggering the bonus round, so you’ll want to keep a close eye out for it, as you’ll see in the following section.

Steam Tower’s only bonus round is triggered by landing one of the stacked wild symbols fully in view, on any reel, in any position. Do so, and you’ll be awarded 10 free spins, which take place on a new set of reels.

Now, during the spins, each spin that you manage to land a wild, you’ll be awarded an extra 2 free spins while also climbing up a level. There are 16 levels in total, and if you manage to make your way to the top, you’ll be rewarded with a generous 100X stake win – along with getting to play out the remaining spins you have left at a huge 7X multiplier!

There’s no re-trigger available as such, but the fact you get two additional spins for landing a wild means you generally can expect to see at least 20 spins throughout the bonus – and this, of course, gives you a huge chance to win big!
