Spectrum Slot Review – Demo, RTP & Features

Wazdan Gaming have produced several slots that have been stripped back in some way, shape or form to great effect, and they’ve gone down a similar path with Spectrum, a five-reeled game that comes complete with ten pay-lines in total.

Spectrum is a slot that offers a solid RTP of 96.30%, and players can spin the reels from just €0.10 per round, doing so on a range of devices, which includes smartphones and tablets.

The premise of Spectrum, where the game’s theme is concerned, is for players to think of themselves as jewel and gem collectors.

You see it’s jewels and gems that make up the majority of the pay symbols in this slot, so if players manage to rack them up in winning combinations, they’ll be reaping the rewards of that.

As you will expect of a slot game of this nature, the jewels and gems that appear on the reels are well-designed and colourful. An electronic-style 80s soundtrack also accompanies the reels spinning, and this goes some way in adding to the experience.

Typically, Wazdan Gaming slot releases of this type tend to focus more on the theming and the gameplay than they do the bonus features, which is the case again here. So there are elements that some players would expect to see which aren’t included, such as a free spins bonus feature.

There are components included that prevent Spectrum from being too basic, such as the customisable volatility and the option to gamble prizes, but that’s as far as this slot, and the developer go on this front, which could be a bit of a put-off for players who enjoy their bonus features.

Game Features

The most important symbol in Spectrum is the wild, which will appear on the central reel. The reason the wild is so important is that as well as substituting for other icons, it can also land, expand, hold position and grant players up to three re-spins.

The wild can also open the door to the game, paying each way, too.

Before starting the game, players have the chance to choose the volatility level they wish to play with. They can hit low for more wins more often but smaller in size.

Or take the high option because wins can be bigger, but there will be less of them. The game will start with medium volatility by default.

When wins occur in Spectrum, a chance to gamble will be presented. The choice is 50/50, and guessing correctly will see the prize double, a feat that can be repeated seven times in one round.

A loss in the gamble mode means the loss of the prize in full. Players can cash out their money at any stage.
