King Tusk Slot Review – Demo, RTP & Features

King Tusk is a new video slot from Microgaming based in the vast desert of the Sahara.

It’s an exciting game that offers players the chance to trigger one of three bonus rounds, and it’s a game where you choose your feature, making it highly enjoyable and something quite a bit different from many of the games we see released today’s action-packed and fast-paced video slot world.

King Tusk slot game uses a 5-reel, 3-row and 25-pay-line format, and it’s worth pointing out that the pay lines are fixed in place, meaning you can’t change them. (Something that’s become standard in today’s modern-day slot world.)

Symbol-wise, you’ll see a range on the reels, and the lower-paying ones include traditional playing card symbols, including Ten, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace. The game’s higher-paying symbols include two different types of elephants – and the highest-paying one is the charging elephant, which is also a wild symbol, helping to substitute for all other symbols on the reels.

Game Features

The main bonus round is a free spins feature, and this is triggered by landing three, four, or five of King Tusk scatter symbols anywhere in view during the main base game. (They don’t have to make a part of a winning pay-line – just anywhere on your screen is sufficient.)

Once you’ve triggered the bonus round, you then have a few options available to you, and you’ll see the various free spins options detailed below.

• Elephants Gone Wild: All elephants during the free spins act as wild symbols, allowing a greater chance of hitting big wins!
• Elephant Stampede: Every spin sees two reels turned completely wild for the duration of the free spins.
• Elephant Dance: A wild symbol is added to the reels on each spin and becomes locked in place for 5 spins.

You receive ten free spins initially, but it’s worth noting that you can re-trigger the bonus round by simply landing yet another three, four, or five of the scatter symbols in view during the bonus – although player experiences indicate it’s quite rare for the free spins to re-trigger.

Overall, King Tusk is an enjoyable game, and Microgaming has shown exactly what they’re capable of in game design. While the game is quite volatile, the overall gameplay is exciting and enjoyable, and it’s one of the game developers’ first titles to be released in HTML5 from the offset, meaning it’s available to desktop and mobile users.
