The Wizard of Oz Slot Review – Demo, RTP & Features

The Wizard of Oz slot from KA Gaming is based on The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, written by L. Frank Baum and made even more famous when Judy Garland starred in the musical. Since then, there have been many adaptions that have even moved over into the online slot realm. In this slot, the semi-transparent reels allow players to catch a glimpse of a stunning castle and kingdom in the background and the famous yellow brick road.

Toto, Dorothy, the Tin man, the Scarecrow and the Lion can be seen across the 5×3 grid with 36 paylines. The regular symbols are fun with a cartoon-like appearance and can payout up to €2,500 for 5 scarecrows at max bet.

To get in on the action, players can stake a wager between 0.36 cents and €180.00 per spin. KA Gaming has not listed the official RTP of variance for the Wizard of Oz at the time of writing.

No Wizard of Oz slot would be complete without the famous ruby red shoes, and in this version, the shoes are the scatter symbol which triggers scatter pays and 10 free spins. Dorothy is the wild, and during the base game, any wins created with wilds are tripled. During the free spins round, she will add 6x to wins created by wilds.

The Wizard of Oz slot is simply gorgeous and offers a fun and rewarding gaming session. It’s not loaded with bonus features, but the wilds and free spins sure do pay off. It’s a well-designed game offering classic gameplay and a fair number of wins.

Game Features

The symbols of The Wizard of Oz can be separated into two groups: lower-value symbols and higher-value symbols. During the free spins feature, there are more Wild symbols present, and they multiply line wins by 6x.

Free Spins are triggered when three or more Scatter symbols appear on the reels giving 10 free spins. During each spin of the feature, an extra Wild symbol is added to the central reel. All line wins that include a Wild symbol are multiplied by 6. It is not possible to trigger more free spins during this feature.
