Highway To Hell Deluxe Slot Review – Demo, RTP & Features

People reading this review will associate Highway to Hell with the hit track from heavy metal band AC/DC by the same name, which tells the story of what it’s like being on the road on tour.

In many ways, Highway to Hell Deluxe by Wazdan Gaming, a five-reeled slot with five pay-lines, uses the track and the travelling element as a source of inspiration for this slot, albeit quite loosely.

What we’d say that Wazdan Gaming really focuses on in this one, which comes through in the design, is the hell part of the proceedings. For example, the truck players are essentially riding in, which has the 666 mark on it, the highway itself is Highway 666, and the road is encased by the flames of hell.

If there’s one thing you can say about this developer, it’s that they know how to theme a slot game, so it rings true when you’re spinning the reels, and the eleven-song soundtrack that is rock from start to finish adds even more authenticity.

While a lot is going on with the slot’s theme, as is always the case with a Wazdan Gaming release, the gameplay and features of sorts are stripped back, which is also typical of this developer.

There’s no free spins feature in this one, but there are bonus elements that players will appreciate as they spin the reels and immerse themselves in the soundtrack. Again, Wazdan Gaming have created a slot that ticks a massive box where the game’s RTP is concerned, too, with an RTP of 96.56%, nothing to be sniffed at.

Game Features

As previously mentioned, there isn’t a free spins bonus feature or any of your more conventional features in Highway to Hell Deluxe, which is par for the course with many Wazdan Gaming releases. However, there are several things to go at on the bonus front.

There’s a wild symbol, which comes in the form of a truck, and this can substitute for every icon in the game, enabling it to help with the forming of winning combinations. These wilds can expand, too, which can prove even more significant.

Players can also see multipliers worth up to 5x their stake come into play, but for this to be the case, they essentially need to create a wall of the same symbols on the reels.

As always, any wins found on the reels can be gambled by the player. They have a 50/50 chance of doubling their prize, something they can do seven times in one sitting. A wrong guess will wipe out the prize entirely, though.

The final thing worth taking note of is that the volatility of the slot is customisable. Players can choose to play a low, medium or high-variance game, depending on their preferences. Low means more wins but smaller in size. High is the opposite end of the scale, so there are fewer wins, but when they arrive, they’ll often be more substantial.
