Freaky Fruit Slot Review – Demo, RTP & Features

Fruit-themed video slots are undoubtedly the most commonly-seen theme in online gambling. While they often take a love-hate relationship with players.

Freaky Fruit, a new free video slot designed and developed by Section 8 Studios – is one of the more intuitive we’ve seen in a while and the reasons why you’ll find out from this review.

The first thing you’ll notice upon loading up the game is that the slot is designed against a relaxing sea-fairing backdrop.

You’ll see a luscious yellow beach at the forefront of the screen, and a clear blue sky helps to set an ambient backdrop, all coming together to present you with a remarkably calm and soothing gameplay environment.

The slot game boasts five reels and has nine pay-lines – showcasing the game’s volatility – and you’ll see several low-value symbols, including a red, orange, and blue symbol, alongside a pineapple.

The game’s higher-paying symbols are depicted through an orange, a slice of watermelon, a pineapple, a pear, a tomato, and an apple.

The wild symbol is a pair of cherries (these substitute for all other symbols in the game, bar the scatter symbols), and the scatter symbol itself is the fruity cocktail.

Game Features

There’s just one feature to be found within Freaky Fruit, and this feature takes the form of a free spins bonus.

To trigger the free spins round, you need to land 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view, and once you do so, you’ll be awarded either 10, 20, or 40 free spins.

You won’t, unfortunately, benefit from any multipliers or sticky wilds during the free spins. Still, it IS possible to re-trigger more free spins, and there’s no maximum number of times that the free spins can be retriggered.

There’s also a bonus game, and if you land three or more of the cocktail symbols in view, you’ll be taken to a new game screen, where you can simply pick from the symbols on your screen to win various cash prizes.
