Aztec Gems Slot Review – Demo, RTP & Features

If you have ever wondered what the Northern Mexican jungles looked like when the Aztec people had lavish temples and riches of gems beyond compare. Then, you are in the right place and won’t have to wonder anymore because Pragmatic Play takes you there in the Aztec Gems online slot.

This visually magnificent slot showcases the lush jungle, with cascading waterfalls and fireflies that dance in the night sky.

In the centre of the screen is where the action happens. Here, on the gold-smothered, four-reeled, 3-rowed grid, you will find that the fourth reel is a multiplier reel and that there are only five fixed paylines.

The multiplier reel is the main feature of Aztec Gems and offers up to a 15x multiplier, and while a wild symbol is present, there are no free spins or additional bonus features.

Pragmatic Play relies heavily on the gorgeous graphics and enchanting soundtrack that transports you to a tribal jungle setting. There are brightly coloured gems for symbols, but to land the prizes associated with them, you will need to make a wager of between 0.05 cents and €25.00. However, the low starting bet amount is excellent news to players on a lower bankroll.

Aztec Gems slot machine is a visually striking, simple and elegant online slot to play that really does not require any effort from the player, with the exception of changing the bet amount. More noticeably, there is a lack of bonus features.

Could that be a turnoff for some? Perhaps, but once you notice that the RTP is 96.52% and the variance is rated low to medium with a 375x the bet amount maximum win, it’s all forgiven.

Game Features

The symbols for Aztec Gems are various shapes and colours of the rainbow. The lower value symbols are made up of the yellow triangle gem, the light blue pentagon gem and the red square gem, which payout from 0.40x the bet amount to 1.6x the stake.

The higher-value symbols, which comprise the green circle gem, turquoise pentagon gem, purple octagon gem and red triangle gem, pay from 2x to 4x the wagered amount.

Landing 3 of the wild symbol will get you a payout of 5x your bet amount. In addition, this symbol also substitutes for any other symbol that is needed to make a winning combination.

To maximise the payouts from winning combinations, this Aztec Gems slot game has a fourth reel that has only multipliers that range from 1x to as much as 15x. These multipliers will boost the payout of any symbol combinations that happen to land at the same time as them.
