Emoticoins Slot Review – Demo, RTP & Features

Emoticoins is a Microgaming slot based on an unusual theme – emojis. They’re wild and untethered just like in real life, with all kinds of emotions showing up on the screen.

You’ll be hitting the celebration emoticoins every time you hit a win across the 30 pay-lines as the slot offers more than decent returns.

The slot uses a straightforward math model with medium variance and 30 fixed paylines. You win by matching 3 or more symbols on the 5×3 grid, with some special features there to make the gameplay more exciting. Read on our Emoticoins review below to learn more about the game itself.

Emoticoins has a very familiar setup with a 5×3 grid. All the controls are located beneath the reels. In terms of symbols, you’ll see all kinds of emojis on the screen.

They include the cool emoji which pays the most, a kissing love emoji, and some others we use on messengers every day. These symbols are accompanied by lower-paying card royals.

The gameplay is straightforward. Match 3 identical coins on the reels for a win. Wilds can help link wins together. A bit unusual, there are two wilds which substitute for other symbols in winning combinations and link wins together.

There are no major features in the base game. The slot goes all-in on special features in the bonus round which is traditionally triggered by the LOL scatter.

Game Features

Three or more LOL scatters trigger the game’s free spins bonus round. You receive 10 free spins with wild stickers on every spin. The scatter also pays a nice amount, even if you land only 2.

Hit the maximum of 5 and you get 10 free spins with an 120x payout.

In the bonus round, 1 position will turn wild on each spin. Additional positions will turn wild on each free spin, and all wild stickers will remain in place for the duration of the bonus round. All bets and lines are played just like in the base game.

Unfortunately, scatters can’t land during the bonus round, eliminating the possibility of retriggers.
