How To Play Online Roulette
Roulette has garnered such a high level of popularity, largely due to the ease at which it can be played, and getting started on your first spin is as simple as choosing the bet you wish to place, and crossing your fingers as the wheel begins to spin!
In this post, I’m going to outline the key steps of playing Roulette, and while it’s written primarily with online gambling in mind, the same rules apply for offline Roulette play, as well!
Before you begin playing, you first need to select your bets. It’s worth familiarising yourself with the different casino chips you can place on the bets, and in most online casinos, the minimum chip will vary between £0.10, and £0.50.
Once you’ve determined the chips (and have added enough funds to your balance), you then choose the bet you wish to place.
For full details on the different types of Roulette bets available, check out my Roulette Gaming article. Once you’ve placed your bets, you can then begin to spin the wheel, or, if you like, you can place more bets.
Once you’ve placed your wager, you then must press the ‘spin’ or ‘play’ button, at which point you’ll see the Roulette wheel on your screen begin to spin.
The ball will eventually drop into a specific number, and if your wager has covered that number, you’ll be automatically paid out, with your winnings automatically added to your online casino balance.
You can then replay the game, using the same betting wagers as before, or, you can choose to place a completely new selection of wagers – the choice is yours.
Note: Online betting allows you to enable a ‘quick spin’ mode. Here, you’ll be able to enjoy the same Roulette play, with the addition that the wheel spins instantly, meaning there’s no waiting around for the ball to drop into place.
This can be advantageous to players who like a quick, fast-paced thrill, but can also make losing sessions a lot quicker, so be sure to use it only if you’re placing low bets, and can deal with long losing periods!
That’s really all there is too it – online Roulette is incredibly simple to pick up, and you won’t find yourself confused, as long as you have a thorough understanding of the different bet types available.
One other thing to mention, is that there American Roulette differs slightly from European or French Roulette, so it’s worth making sure you’re familiar with the specific game type you’re playing, so you know what payouts to expect.
