The Big Easy slot - Free Play - Game Review

The Big Easy
The Big Easy Rated 0/5 based on 0 votes

Here’s a game for you… What do you think of, when you picture Stevie Wonder… a Saxophone… and New Orleans…

Well, if you’ve got ANY idea what music is, you probably said jazz music… and if you did, you’re on the right track, as that’s what The Big Easy - a video slot from Spielo - is all about!

While it’s quite rare to see a video slot themed around jazz music, it’s fair to say that Spielo have pulled it off to an expert level… and it appears the slot is actually themed in New Orleans - partially shown by the big neon imagery found within the slot’s backdrop.

Now, you’ll need look no further than the reels themselves to see the jazz theme shown on the symbols of the slot, and some of the higher-value ones include edible plates of seafood, cocktails, a saxophone, a trumpet player, a set of piano keys, and a female jazz vocalist.

First off, in terms of bonuses and features is the Big Easy feature, and this is simply cash payouts for landing 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view.

Landing three will see you rewarded with 4X your stake, while landing 4 or 5 will award you with 11X and 20X your stake respectively.

There’s also a free-spins bonus round, and this is triggered by landing three, four, or five of the scatter symbols anywhere in view during the bonus.

Doing so awards you between 8 and 25 free-spins (the more scatter symbols you land, the more free-spins you get), and the free-spins all come attached with a multiplier ranging between 2X and 10X - so there’s HUGE potential, if you manage to land the right setup.

The free-spins can’t be re-triggered, unfortunately - but in all honesty, that’s not really an issue, as it’s possible to win a LOT of money from the somewhat limited number of spins you initially start with.

Pros: The Big Easy slot game is great, because it’s so different from anything else we’re used to seeing.

Cons: The game doesn't render particularly well on mobile devices - so just bear this in mind.
