The Royals Go Camping slot - Free Play - Game Review
The British Royal Family are one of the most iconic families on the planet - if not the most iconic - and the reigning monarchs of the Commonwealth are known all over the world for both their steep historical links, and the charitable work they do for the country.
The Royals go Camping is a video slot from Section 8 Studios, and while the name is quite obscure (we’re not sure that the Buckingham Palace press team officially sanctioned the video slot’s release or not), as you’ll see from the following review, the game’s great fun to play. Read on to find out why!
Now, before we get started, it’s worth mentioning that the game is built using HTML5 technology, and this ensures that - should you want or choose to do so - you can actually access the slot, and enjoy the gaming experience from almost all of your mobile devices.
You don’t need any special software in order to play, and most mobile phones and tablets are capable of running the game just fine.
Looking at the actual design of the slot, you’ll notice that it’s set in quite a funny way - the Royals are out camping (as the name gives away, of course), and you’ll see playing card values, including 10, jack, queen, king, and ace as the game’s lower-value symbols, and the higher-paying ones are all game specific symbols, including the Queen, Prince Charles, Harry, William, and Kate.
The first bonus round you’ll find within the slot is a Pick Me Game, and this is triggered by landing the bonus scatter symbols anywhere in view on reels one and five.
Do so, and you’ll then get to pick from one of the two symbols, which will then reveal cash prize.
The second bonus round - and arguably the most important one - is the Queen’s Bonus Game, and if you land 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view, you’ll trigger this feature.
You then get to work through a pick ‘n click feature, with cash prizes awarded for each pick.
Pros: Royals go Camping slot machine is ideal if you’ve ever wanted to spend a night with Elizabeth, William, or Harry, but have found yourself unable to get through Buckingham Palace’s security.
Cons: The bonus round isn’t too impressive, which is a shame.
