The Three Stooges
|Theme:||Free Spins Feature:||No|
|Slot Type:||Bonus Rounds Feature:||No|
The Three Stooges is one of RTG (Real Time Gaming’s) most popular video slot releases in history, and while the game itself doesn’t offer up too much in the way of excitement, it’s the theme/brand behind the game that makes it so enjoyable for players!
Now, if you’re unfamiliar with who The Three Stooges were; they were a three-piece comedy team who, back in the mid-20th century – made audiences laugh, all over the world, through their hilarious and funny acts.
The game is built using a 3-reel format (so those of you who prefer to play classic slots will likely find the game appealing), and there’s also some progressive jackpots included within the game. We’ll cover the details of these a little later on within this review.
Now, first, let’s take a look at the reels, and the symbols on them.
You’ll find The Three Stooges themselves (of course), and this means you’ll see Larry, Moe, and more – and there’s also some scatter symbols on the reels, which trigger the bonus round which we’ll go into later on within this review.
The game is also fully mobile optimised, meaning you can enjoy the action on both your desktop computer/laptop, and mobile devices.
There’s a couple of bonuses to be found within The Three Stooges, and the first is known as the Larry’s Stash Bonus. This is combined with the Moe’s Moolah bonus round – and both are triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view.
Once you manage to do so, you’ll be awarded either one of the bonuses, and they’re essentially built around a “pick me bonus” format, so there’s quite a lot to get excited about.
As with many of RTG’s slots, there’s also three progressive jackpots within the game. These are – the Minor, Major, and Three Stooges Jackpots – and these jackpots are awarded randomly during the base-game.
The higher you stake, the better your chances of winning one of the jackpots – so just be aware of this when you’re playing, as it could make you want to stake-up a tad.
Pros: The iconic theme used within the slot, combined with the exciting gameplay, the bonuses and features, and the progressive jackpots make for a highly-entertaining gameplay experience.
Cons: Unfortunately, like most of RTG’s slots, the progressive jackpots are triggered randomly, meaning you have no bonus round to try and hit in order to scoop them. This doesn’t really matter, in the grand scheme of things – but it’s worth noting that you don’t need to actually “hit” anything in order for the jackpots to trigger.
