Sea Hunter slot - Free Play - Game Review

Sea Hunter
Sea Hunter Rated 5/5 based on 1 votes

Sea Hunter is a game from Play 'n Go that many players may find has a strong resemblance to Finding Nemo – and while there’s no official correlation between the hit film, and this new slot from Play 'n Go, it’s hard to say that there aren’t some striking similarities.

Still, the game is exciting to play, and takes you on a journey to the bottom of the sea – and in Sea Hunter, you’ll benefit from one of the most exciting bonus rounds we’ve seen come from Play 'n Go, yet!

Now, the game is made using a variety of symbols, and you’ll see no traditional playing card symbols, including Ten, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace – something that has become far too common in online video slots – and instead, the game developers have opted to use game specific symbols instead, consisting of a Shark, an Octopus, a Flatfish, a Turtle, a Jellyfish, and a Puffer Fish.

There’s also two Tropical Specimens – although we’re unsure if anyone really knows what they are!

You’ll also see a depth charge, and this is the game’s wild symbol. It replaces all other symbols within the game, and plays a key part of the bonus feature, details of which we’ll cover in the section below.

There’s a lot going on in Sea Hunter, and you’ll see that all the features are actually combined together in the main base-game.

After any consecutive wins, one of the features is awarded, and the more wins you get in a row, the more bonuses you’ll win!

The different bonuses on offer are shown below:

Growth Gun: Once you get two wins, the growth gun feature will trigger, and this sees all instances of one particular symbol (chosen at random) become worth double.

Sticky Shot: Once you manage three wins in a row, you’ll trigger the sticky shot bonus-round, and this sees all instances of a particular symbol (again chosen at random) lock into place, along with any wilds that appear on the screen, for one free re-spin.

Wild Warhead: If you manage to make a win from the sticky shot bonus above, you’ll then trigger the wild warhead bonus-round, and this sees anywhere from one, to three wild symbols randomly added to the reels.

Multiply Mortar: If you manage to get 6 consecutive wins in a row you’ll trigger the multiply mortar bonus-round, and this offers you a guaranteed win, with a multiplier chosen at random, up to a whopping 15X your stake!

There’s no free-spins bonus-round or anything like that, but the accumulating feature system ensures that Sea Hunter is exciting to play, and generous in terms of its bonus offerings… and it’s no surprise to see that it’s become one of the game developers most popular releases to date!

Pros: Regular bonuses in the base-game ensure that you don’t need to watch out for specific scatter symbols or trigger symbols like with most video slots these days.

Cons: The lack of a free-spins bonus-round will be disappointing to some players.
