Imperial Opera is a video slot from Play’n Go, and this Oriental-inspired game is built around a 5-reel, 3-row format.

The game can be played from as little as 20p per spin and as much as £100, and there’s a total of 20 paylines active.

In this review, we’re going to be taking a look at what Imperial Opera has to offer.

As mentioned, Imperial Opera uses an Asian theme, and the developer actually pull it off really well. The game includes a variety of symbols, including playing card values, including 10, jack, queen, king, and ace for the low-value ones and theme-specific ones for the better-paying ones.

The high-value symbols include flowers, and three different asian characters. You’ll also notice a scatter, and this is the symbol you’ll want to keep an eye on, as landing three of them in view will trigger the main bonus round, which we’ll cover below.

Game Features

There’s plenty to get excited about in Imperial Opera, and you can read all about the various bonuses below.

First, you’ve got the ‘Showcase Bonus’, and this is activated on every single spin. One of the symbols is chosen at random, and stacks of that symbol are then added to the reels. It just makes it a little bit easier to hit wins.

The next bonus is the ‘Harmony Bonus’, and this is triggered randomly during the base-game. When it activates, two of three adjacent reels are chosen randomly, and these reels then begin to slow spin, all showing the same symbols.

When this feature is active, it’s also possible to land the scatter symbols in view – and doing so will activate the main free-spins bonus. You will then receive 10 free-spins, and during these spins, there’s a giant 3X3 set of symbols in the middle of the reels.

Of course, this makes it a lot easier to hit big wins, and it’s also possible to trigger more spins, by landing more of the scatter symbols anywhere in view, during this bonus.

Pros: We love the Asian-inspired theme that Play ‘n Go have opted to use in Imperial Opera. It really works, and it’s fair to say that the game developer have managed to create a really great-looking slot that’s also exciting to play.

Cons:> If you like highly volatile slots, then Imperial Opera probably isn’t the game for you. It’s low variance, so just be aware of this.
