Gold King slot - Free Play - Game Review

Gold King
Gold King Rated 5/5 based on 1 votes

Gold King is a new video slot from Play 'n Go, and the game itself uses a 5-reel, 20-payline fixed structure, to ensure that you can play the slot from as little as 20p per spin, and as much as £100 per spin.

The game is themed loosely around Midas – one of the core elements of Greek mythology – and one of the biggest attraction of playing is the wide-variety of features you’ll find within the game itself.

The first thing you’ll notice when you begin playing is the stellar graphics on offer, and this stems from Play 'n Go doing all they can to ensure that players enjoy a high-quality and riveting playing experience.

Even the game’s symbols are designed in a way that emulate some of the best-designed slots we’ve seen in a while, and you’ll see traditional playing card symbols, including Ten, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace are present on all reels, making up of course the lower-paying symbols.

The game’s higher value symbols include Gold Bars, Jewel-encrusted Amulets, alongside a Golden Crown.

The Crown is the highest-paying symbol you’ll find within the game, paying 25X your stake for matching a 5-of-a-kind combination.

However, you’ll also see a Rose symbol, which is the game’s wild symbol; this is a much-better paying symbol, awarding a very generous 125X for making a 5-of-a-kind combination. It’s actually possible to land a full screen of the rose symbol, so you can see where the big win potential inside Gold King is found!

There’s a couple of features to be found in Gold King, and the first is the Super Stack feature, during which – on each spin – 1 symbol is chosen at random. This symbol is then filled on 3 reels throughout the game’s board, allowing you a very good chance of making a full screen of a certain symbol.

There’s also a Super Spin feature, and this is triggered when you manage to land one of the Gold King scatter symbols on reels one, three, and five. Once you do so, you’ll enter the free-spins feature, which initially awards you with 10 free-spins.

During the free-spins, one of the traditional playing card symbols, including Ten, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace – the lower-paying symbols – is removed from the reels, until you’re left with just the higher-paying symbols left.

And clearly, this created BIG win potential, that can be massively profitable.

Overall, Gold King – while not one of the providers most popular titles – is fun to play, enjoyable… and big win potential can be found, despite the low-variance nature of the slot.

Pros: Gold King is fun, exciting, and low-in volatility, making it an ideal slot for players looking for regular wins.

Cons: The game can go through dry spells, so always be aware of this before expecting too much to happen!
