Cave Raiders HD slot - Free Play - Game Review
Cave Raiders HD is a popular follow-on slot from Nektan Gaming, and it’s a remake of their ever-popular “Cave Raiders” game, which sees players transported underground for a creepy, dark, yet – highly -enjoyable gaming experience.
Now, the game uses some of the best design work we’ve seen from Nektan in a while – and you’ll be faced with a beautiful array of underground-looking imagery, and pictures, with the game’s backdrop showcasing just how capable Nektan really are, or making games that are visually appealing.
Symbol-wise, there’s two types to be found inside Cave Raiders HD. First, you’ve got the lower-paying symbols, which are – unsurprisingly – traditional playing card symbols, including Ten, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace.
The higher-paying symbols (i.e. the one’s you want to aim for, as they pay the best), are all game specific symbols, and include a pickaxe, a head torch, a helmet, and a cave opening.
There also exists a scatter symbol, which secures entry to the main bonus-round (more on that in the following section), and you will also see a wild symbol; this substitutes for ALL other symbols within the game (bar the scatter symbols), and can help you make 4-of-a-kind and 5-of-a-kind wins a LOT easier!
Once you manage to land three, four, or five of the scatter symbols in view during the base-game (and it’s known for not taking too long either, which is great news), you’ll be awarded with 10 free-spins.
Now, while there isn’t anything too special about these free-spins, you will enjoy a 5X multiplier on EVERY win you get during the feature – and this basically means there’s no limit on how much you can win!
During the free-spins round, it’s also possible to re-trigger the free-spins, and in order to do so, you simply need to land three, four, or five of the scatter symbols, anywhere in view.
Cave Raiders HD is fully mobile-optimised, meaning you can enjoy it from your mobile phones, smart tablet devices, and phablets.
Pros: The stunning high-definition graphics are – well… high-def!
Cons: The bonus-round can be quite hard to get, and it’s been known to take up to 400 spins – so approach the game with some level of carefulness!
