Hitman slot - Free Play - Game Review
Hitman has become one of the most popular franchise of the modern-age, with films, and video games capturing the attention of millions of people all over the world.
Knowing this, it’s no surprise to see that Microgaming have opted to develop a Hitman video slot – and, by partnering up with the creators of the film, they’ve managed to convey the haunting, somewhat chilling nature of the game into a video slot version you can play from the comfort of your own home.
In this review, we’re going to take a look at what Hitman – the slot – has to offer, and why you should consider playing it if you’ve not yet given it a go!
The game itself uses a range of chilling imagery and music to create the perfect playing environment playing environment, and you’ll see a range of game specific symbols included on the reels, including a variety of weapons, and three different variations of the Hitman himself.
The game uses a rather odd layout, consisting of 15 pay-lines, 5 reels, and 3 rows – and while this may sound a little strange at first, remember that when it was first created, this was generally the “norm” in terms of slot structures.
Now, there’s a lot of features to get through and cover – so let’s dive right in and take a look at them!
The first thing to be aware of is the expanding wild feature, and this triggers when a wild symbol lands on the second, third, or fourth reel. When it does, the wild will raise up and fill the entire reel, with any news wins made then paid out.
Land three of the scatter symbols on the last three reels and you’ll trigger the Contract Bonus. This is, essentially, a "Pick Me Bonus”, and you’ll see three dodgy-looking guys appear on screen. You have to choose which one you’d like to kill – and you simply click on the guy you want to zap, and bam – instead of fighting back and trying to “get back at your”, he instead awards you a cash prize! Weird how things work, aye?
OK, all jokes aside, the main bonus-round is a free-spins feature and is triggered by landing the other scatter symbols anywhere in view on the reels. Once you do so, you’ll be awarded 18 free-spins, during which, any wins you manage to form are doubled – thanks to the 2X multiplier which becomes active for the free-spins bonus.
While there’s no re-trigger available, the 2X multiplier is usually more-than-enough to grab a decent-sized win, and you’ll find yourself walking away from the bonus-round with wins of 100X + or more quite regularly, making it one of the better bonuses to aim for!
Pros: The wide-variety of bonus-round features make playing exciting and ensures that you don’t have to wait long in order to get a hit on the game!
Cons: The graphics are admittedly quite out of date, so if you’re looking for something more modernised, you may want to try a different Microgaming slot.
