Rocky Slot Game Review
Rocky is one of the best films of all time, and in this exciting video slot title from Barcrest, you’ll need to get out your boxing gloves and prepare for a right, as you take on a variety of opponents (and hopefully manage to win money at the same time!)
Using a traditional 5 reel, 25-pay-line layout, Rocky uses a stunning array of graphics, and the game is often described as carrying a similar feeling to that of an “American Diner”. Sounds weird, but check it out and you’ll see how this actually does ring true.
On the reels, you’ll see a selection of icons, including traditional playing-card symbols, including 10, J, Q, K, and A, as well as game-specific artwork, including various boxers, the Rocky symbol, and the wild symbol, which takes the form of a pair of Boxing gloves.
You can stake from as little as £0.20 per spin right up to £50 per spin, and this is all adjustable using the handy stake-changer at the bottom of the screen.
Game Bonus Features
There’s a few different bonus features available in the Rocky video slot, and the Knockout Bonus is first up.
When you manage to land a white glove on reel one, and a red glove on reel five, you’ll enter the bonus, and here you’ll see Rocky enter the ring. You get the choose the opponent you want him to fight, with Apollo Creed and Ivan being the two different options.
If Rocky wins the bout, you’ll win 3X your initial stake, and this continues through 10 rounds, leaving a 30X win up for grabs.
What’s really cool, is that if Rocky secures a knockout at ANY time, you’ll automatically win all 10 bouts, even if you’ve already lost one, so it’s a great little addition to the bonus!
There’s also a free spins bonus which is triggered when you land three or more scatter symbols in view. Here, you’ll get 15, 20, or 25 free spins, and during the free spins, any wins you manage to get are subject to a 2X multiplier. Nothing particularly exciting, but a nice bonus regardless.
You’ll also see a gamble feature, which can be used by you on any win – it’s completely optional, and it’s simply a “pick the playing card colour” type gamble, where you simply double your wins for a correct pick.
Pros: Fast-paced, exciting, and vibrant, Rocky is one of Barcrest’s least well-known titles, but it’s becoming more and more respected by players due to the exciting feature rounds!
Cons: The graphics could do with a little work.
