Rainbow Riches slot - Free Play - Game Review

Rainbow Riches
Rainbow Riches Rated 4/5 based on 123 votes

If there’s one theme we’re used to seeing from software providers, it’s that of the Irish - and Rainbow Riches is just one of the games to come from Barcrest, that aims to pay tribute to this well-known, and highly-well-received-by-players theme.

The game’s set deep within the Emerald Isles, and you’ll see a Leprechaun taking the main feature role within the slot, present both on the left-hand-side of the reels, as well as in most of the bonuses. (There’s three.)

Symbols on the reels are relatively varied, and you’ll see several Irish-related icons, including a “Rainbow Riches” logo - which is the game’s highest-paying symbol - along with playing card values, which include Ten, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace - as well as the game’s scatter symbols, which include Gold, Bronze, and Silver Pots, Wells, and the Leprechaun himself.

Now, it’s these scatter symbols that are key to triggering the main bonus round, and in the following section of this post, we’re going to look at how you trigger these features - and what, exactly, they entail.

The first bonus round you’ll find in Rainbow Riches is the Wishing Well Bonus, and this is triggered by landing three or more of the Wishing Well scatter symbols anywhere in view during the main base-game.

Once you marae to do so, you’ll trigger the feature, which sees the scatter symbols come to life. You are then tasked with picking one of the wells, which then awards you with a cash prize, which can be worth up to 100X your total stake.

The second be is the Trail of Gold feature, and this is triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view. Now, these scatter symbols are a little different, and take the form of the Leprechauns.

Once you manage to do so, you’ll be taken to a trail-like feature screen, where you get to spin a gigantic wheel, which contains values 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, along with a “Collect’ segment.

The value it lands on determines how many notches up the ladder you get to move, and if you manage to make it to the top, there’s a 200X maximum prize up for grabs.

The third and final bonus round is the Pots of Gold feature, and this is the one you’ll want to aim for, as it’s where most of the game’s RTP is, bonus-round wise.

To trigger the feature, you need to land 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view and you’ll then be taken to the Pots screen. Here, you’ll see Gold, Silver, and Bronze Pots spinning around, and each pot has a cash value attached to it. (The gold pots are always worth 500X your total stake.) The wheel spins, and you’re awarded one of the pots - it’s that simple!

Pros: Rainbow Riches is well-loved by players, and the reasons why are clear; the game is fun, exciting, and well-made - and three great bonuses make for exciting, and enjoyable gameplay!

Cons: Hard to fault really - it’s such good fun to play!
