Gold Cup – as the name tends to suggest – is a football-themed video slot game, and one of the latest (and most popular releases) from Merkur Gaming.
The slot is a 5-reel, 5 pay-line video slot game, with prizes on offer of up to 10,000 coins!
One of the best features about the Gold cup video slot, is the 3D animations which appear throughout, and this adds a nice touch and feel to the game.
Gold Cup accurately emulates the excitement of a football game, and you’ll see different team colours available, including the gold and green of the Brazilian national team, the Blue and white stripes of the Argentinian team, as well as the Netherlands international kit. You’ll also see a kit which resembles Middlesborough’s kit (although why, no one knows), and the symbols pay more depending on how good the team is!
How To Play
Gold Cup is VERY simple to play, and due to a simple and basic layout, getting started couldn’t be simpler.
Just log into the game, select your stake, and begin spinning – it’s just a case of selecting the amount you wish to bet per game (up to £5), and you can get going right away!
Bonus Rounds And In-Game Features
Unfortunately, like many of the Merkur Gaming slot games, there isn’t a bonus feature inside Gold Cup. This is largely in part to the regular wins (and the fact the game just isn’t designed to feature a bonus round).
However… it’s not all bad news!
See, you can enjoy a gamble function (again, a VERY common trend with most of Merkur Gaming’s games), and any win you manage to make from the pay-lines can be gambled, simply by clicking the “gamble” button at the bottom of the screen.
It works like this; each time you win, you have the option to gamble or collect your winnings. If you opt to collect, the winnings will be added directly to your account balance.
If you choose to gamble, you will be shown a playing card. Simply predict whether the playing card will be red or black, and if you guess correct, you double your original win!
You can do this up to five times in a row, giving you the chance to make small wins… into big wins!
So check out Gold Cup today; it may not be the most intuitive of games, but it’s great fun, and offers players a LOT of opportunity to win big (alongside a football theme!).
